After another hour of traveling alone, he found Tori being corner by a horde of zombies who was armed with a broomstick, her gun jammed. Alex dispatched the small horde of undead and explained that his reasoning for being there and that the two would need to work together if they were to survive. Reluctantly, Tori agreed to the suggestion and the two began to make their way to St. Michael Clock Tower. Along the way, they battled many B.O.W.s that had either escaped containment or been accidentally created by the effects of the T-virus spill. The two also encounter Nemesis(on numerous occasions), a Tyrant specially designed to eliminate S.T.A.R.S. members. Eventually, the two were able to make their way to St. Michael Clock Tower and signaled the helicopter that was standing by to rescue them. The two called the helicopter over to their position in joy.

Unfortunately, their happiness was short-lived. Just as the helicopter came in for a landing, Nemesis blew their hopes of escape into hundreds of pieces with a rocket launcher. In anger, Tori attacked the creature with every weapon she had availible while Alex fled and hid nearby. Realizing that Tori would most likely not survive the encounter alone with this creature, he jumped into the battle as Tori was beginning to become overpowered. Alex procceed to blow up the creatures rocket launcher, severely damaging the monster while Tori hit it with all the firepower she had left. Eventually, Nemesis fled the scene and although both wanted to give chase, Alex and Tori retreated into the clock tower and locked themselves inside.

For the next two days, Alex and Tori stayed within the confines of the clock tower, hopeless and defeated. During this time, the two became very close, sharing many stories of their life. On October 1st however, Alex remembered a overhearing Umbrella officals talking about different secret Umbrella facilites located in and around Raccoon, the closest(and best) one being the P-12A Incierator Facility or Dead Factory. This being their last hope, Alex and Tori loaded up with what weapons they had at their disposal and made their way late the next day. The two once again battled a variety of B.O.W.s, zombies and even ran into a small group of five U.B.C.S soldiers also heading toward the Dead Factory in hopes of finding escape. By late in the evening however, the duo reached the bridge leading to the Dead Factory entrance.

As they crossed the bridge hoever, a familar and unwanted presence made itself known. Nemesis approached from beind, having been either waiting at the Factory or trailing the unsuspecting duo. As the creature made it's way toward them, Alex knew that something had to be done about it. So, to allow Tori to escape, Alex charged the creature and threw both it and himself over the edge and into the water below. Luckily for Alex, Nemesis plunged into the water first and broke his fall. While Nemesis was swept away by the current, Alex managed to swim to nearby rocks and pull himself back onto to shore. Taking this as a sign that he was not to die in Raccoon, Alex procceed forward with his morale higher than it had ever been in his life.

Fighting solo for a bit, Alex managed to stumble across a working helicopter and partly dismantled Army Humvee. Taking a rocket launcher from the broken down automobile, he once again entered the Dead Factory to search for Tori. Soon enough, he once again reunited with the former S.T.A.R.S. member who was trapped in battle with a heavily mutated Nemesis inside of the disposal chamber. Opening the chamber up, he procceed to blow most of the Tyrant's upper body to pieces via the launcher he aquirred earlier. Tori, overjoyed at seeing Alex was a live and well, activated the disposal mechanism and sent what was left of Nemesis's body into the dissolving pool. As the two made their way to the helicopter, they were ambushed by Nicholai Ginovaef who informed that the city was going to be bombed and that only he would escape. The crazed Umbrella agent then blasted Alex with automatic fire, seemingly killing him. In retaliation, Tori gunned down Nicholai. Luckily for Alex, he had a bullet proof vest which he'd also aquired from the Humvee. Alex and Tori once again made their way toward the helicopter which would take them to freedom.

But alas, they were not to escape right away. The Nemesis, who had now mutated beyond human shape, once again attacked them, unwilling to fail in his mission and allow Tori to escape. Unleashing a barrage of gunfire upon the creature, Alex and Tori made their way toward the exit that led to chopper. On the way, Tori found a large cannon and not willing to let this monster live for the all the grief it had brought them, blasted the creature with an intense beam of energy, finally ending the creatures life once and for all. Alex and Tori then quickly went to the helicopter where Alex piloted them up and out of the city just as the bombs hit Raccoon and wiped it off the map. The two landed at a nearby temporarily set-up military base and were promptly tended to.

Nearly a year and a half later, Alex, now apart of an anti-Umbrella activist group along with Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Rebecca Chambers, Barry Burton, Tori Hitoshi and large number of others who had their own reason for hating Umbrella is in a meeting along with the others. The group has recently gotten wind of a facility on a secluded island out just a few miles away off the eastern coast of South America that is experimenting with a new virus that is simply known as the R-virus. The Facility is known as the Virus Intelligence and Research Acquisition Leigon, or V.I.R.A.L., Dome. As the discussion proggresses, it is decided that a recon mission to gather information on this virus will be lead and the only thing left to decide is who will go. As Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine and Tori Hitoshi are off on other missions while Rebecca Chambers and Barry Burton are on temporary leave, Alex volunteers himself to lead the mission and selects a small number of individuals based on their skills, experience and former occupations to come to with him.

As the selected members are readying themselves, a rookie member of the group comes to Alex and begs him to allow her to come. At first, Alex refuses her pleads due to the facts that she has just joined the anti-Umbrella group, her age and inexperience with just about everything needed for this mission. Alex decides to leave the decision to a group vote. Outnumbered, Alex allows the newcomer, freshly turned twenty-year old Laura Morris, to accompany them only due to the fact that she is a technology wizz. Due to James's connections with many higher-ups in the SEALs, he is able to aquire much weaponry for the group as well a military grade hydrofoil patrol gunboat that will be used to sneak onto the island. The team of six depart in the small boat for the island.

The group arrives late in the day, sunset only hours away. The group ponders over wheather to offically start the mission that day or early the next morning. The group overall decides it would be better to move sooner than later, but that because nightfall is close and the fact that a dense jungle covers most of the island, they decide head onto as early as possible the next morning. At seven o'clock they procceed and after entering a nearby cave, they dock on the bank of a river. As the group makes their way toward the facility, they stumble upon a native village on the outskirts of the large jungle. As they enter, they find the village, apart from a few villagers who had sealed themselves in their wooden houses, deserted. They pass through the village without incident. They enter the jungle, ready for any animals that they may encounter. What group runs into though, is much worse.

Only an hour after entering the jungle and encountering no aniamls what-so-ever, they realize something is wrong, that something has happened. They all decide that there is the possibility of a T-virus leak that could have infected locals as well as animals and they want to get in and out as fast as possible. They continue forward with enhanced caution and soon enough, their suspicsions are confirmed; a small group of undead, all with a large hole in or around their chest try to attack them. The anti-Umbrella group instantly flee from the undead group, worried that gunfire will alert other infected to their location. Soon afterwards, they run into a brazilian man, Carlos, who is a drug dealer. He explains that he and his men had set up base camp and two days prior to the anti-Umbrella gorups arrival, the camp was attacked and destroyed by a team of soldiers dressed in black uniforms with a red and white logo. While most of the dealers were killed, a few, such as Carlos, escaped into the jungle. Calros is instantly distrustful of the group, but as they are his only hope of escape he decides to join them and their cause. Unfortunately, the group is attacked by a large jungle cat that has been mutated by the virus. Carlos opens fire insatantly and the others decide to follow suit. Soon afterwards, the group is attacked by many creatures mutated by the T-virus, including Web Spinners, Drain Demios and zombies. As the group is crossing a bridge across a river, another jungle cat attacks they are crossing. Carlos manages to knock the large cat over the side, but as it begins to fall, it grabs ahold of an unlucky Carlos' foot and drags him over the edge as well. Carlos and the cat are then both eaten by large infected piranha as former tries to swim for shore.

The group continues to press forward, but are attacked by new and old B.O.W.s created through use of the R and T-viruses released by one of the two lead scientists, Donald Turner. Robert is injured during an encounter with a lone Digger, but manages to keep up with the group. Soon, the group reaches the facility and easily makes their way inside. Upon entering, they find that the building, despite it's name, is not actually a dome but is instead a large sphere and that most of the building is underground. The group enters an elevator and try to travel upwards, but the elevator's controls are overridden by Donald who forces the group downwards to the cryostais centers, live-handling areas, holding pens and training centers.

History

Raccoon City Outbreak

Alex, along with the rest of the U.B.C.S. platoons was deployed to Raccoon City in the heart of the outbreak in September of 1998 to combat the biohazardous threat and rescue any survivors. Unfortunately for the Alex, these events would change his life forever. Soon after touching down, the mission went wrong and he was forced to fight for his life in the nightmare that was to be known as the Raccoon City Incident. After a couple of hours of navigating a territory he was unfamiliar with, he managed to run into former S.T.A.R.S. Charlie Team member Tori Hitoshi. Happy to see a face that wasn't trying to kill him, he introduced himself and the fact that he was apart of the U.B.C.S and offered his assistance to her. Tori, angry that Umbrella was trying to cover themselves by sending in a paramilitary force to combat a threat that they caused refused a confused Alex's help and left his company. Once again, Alex was on his own.

In anger, Tori attacked the creature with every weapon she had available while Alex fled and hid nearby. Realizing that Tori would most likely not survive the encounter alone with this creature, he jumped into the battle as Tori was beginning to become overpowered. Alex proceed to blow up the creatures rocket launcher, severely damaging the monster while Tori hit it with all the firepower she had left. At first, Alex refuses her pleads due to the facts that she has just joined the anti-Umbrella group, her age and inexperience with just about everything needed for this mission. Alex decides to leave the decision to a group vote. Outnumbered, Alex allows the newcomer, freshly turned twenty-year old Laura Morris, to accompany them only due to the fact that she is a technology whiz. Due to James's connections with many higher-ups in the SEALs, he is able to acquire much weaponry for the group as well a military grade hydrofoil patrol gunboat that will be used to sneak onto the island. The team of six depart in the small boat for the island.

The group arrives late in the day, sunset only hours away. The group ponders over whether to officially start the mission that day or early the next morning. The group overall decides it would be better to move sooner than later, but that because nightfall is close and the fact that a dense jungle covers most of the island, they decide head onto as early as possible the next morning. At seven o'clock they proceed and after entering a nearby cave, they dock on the bank of a river.

Only an hour after entering the jungle and encountering no animals what-so-ever, they realize something is wrong, that something has happened. They all decide that there is the possibility of a T-virus leak that could have infected locals as well as animals and they want to get in and out as fast as possible. They continue forward with enhanced caution and soon enough, their suspicions are confirmed; a small group of undead, all with a large hole in or around their chest try to attack them. The anti-Umbrella group instantly flee from the undead group, worried that gunfire will alert other infected to their location. Soon afterwards, they run into a Brazilian man, Carlos, who is a drug dealer. He explains that he and his men had set up base camp and two days prior to the anti-Umbrella groups arrival, the camp was attacked and destroyed by a team of soldiers dressed in black uniforms with a red and white logo. While most of the dealers were killed, a few, such as Carlos, escaped into the jungle. Carlos is instantly distrustful of the group, but as they are his only hope of escape he decides to join them and their cause. Unfortunately, the group is attacked by a large jungle cat that has been mutated by the virus. Carlos opens fire instantly and the others decide to follow suit. Soon afterwards, the group is attacked by many creatures mutated by the T-virus, including Web Spinners, Drain Demios and zombies. As the group is crossing a bridge across a river, another jungle cat attacks they are crossing. Carlos manages to knock the large cat over the side, but as it begins to fall, it grabs a hold of an unlucky Carlos' foot and drags him over the edge as well. Carlos and the cat are then both eaten by large infected piranha as former tries to swim for shore.

The group continues to press forward, but are attacked by new and old B.O.W.s created through use of the R and T-viruses released by one of the two lead scientists, Donald Turner. Among these B.O.W.s are the Chimera, Bandersnatch, Hunter Alphas and two new B.O.W.s called XD-162 Diggers and CS-117 Gliders. Robert is injured during an encounter with a lone Digger, but manages to keep up with the group. Soon, the group reaches the facility and easily makes their way inside. Upon entering, they find that the building, despite it's name, is not actually a dome but is instead a large sphere and that most of the building is underground. The group enters an elevator and try to travel upwards, but the elevator's controls are overridden by Donald who forces the group downwards to the cryostasis centers, labs and training centers.

Unsure of what to expect, the group prepared themselves to combat any B.O.W.s they might encounter.
