Chie Chau is one of the Memitim, a team of elites of Archangel Security. In truth, however, she is an experimental bio organic weapon who was "created" by Umbrella Corporation.

History

Chie Chau was born in a rural Japanese village to a Japanese mother, Haruko Fumizuki, and a Vietnamese father, Chau Minh. Upon Chie's conception, she was artificially inseminated with Tony Wesker's DNA by Umbrella researchers. During Haruko's return for a later health checkup, the Umbrella researchers infected her with a strain of the Progenitor virus, as they have done with several other test subjects. Haruko would be unaware of Umbrella's experimentation all the way past Chie's birth. The Umbrella researchers near Chie's village continued to quietly monitor both Chie and her mother, who was the only subject to survive their test due to the fact that the fetal Chie produced antibodies that fought off the virus' effects, until the shortly after the Raccoon City Destruction Incident. Having of course known of Chie's existence, Tony Wesker himself would personally seek her out and recruit her into the Memitim of Archangel Security.

Appearance

Chau is a young woman of East/Southeast-Asian descent, and keeps her hair pulled back in a ponytail. Her wardrobe is almost entirely black in color, consisting of a half face mask, a sports bra, a sports thong, an off-the-shoulder crop top, fingerless gloves, and combat boots. Chau's trademark weapon is her wakizashi with a heavily-reinforced blade that she keeps in a specially-made sheath on her back; the sheath is designed in a way to enable Chau to easily draw her sword without compromising its function as a sheath. Chau is also trained to use firearms and carries a Heckler & Koch MP5SD1.

Skills and abilities

Chau possesses superhuman levels of strength, speed, reaction time, and durability to a similar extent to the P30-infused Jill Valentine. As such, she is capable of wielding a melee weapon as "primitive" as a wakizashi to very deadly results. Chie's notable feats with her blade include using it to pierce through heavy body armor worn by higher-ranking DarkRain agents and decapitating Hannibal, an incredibly powerful Tyrant-like B.O.W., after several well-placed swings to the side of the neck. In spite of her superhuman abilities, Chau primarily relies on stealth to eliminate her targets and will cautiously neutralize her enemies, even if she could somewhat reliably dodge their gunfire in the event she would have to.
