The Omega Virus, or simply the O-Virus, is a retrovirus in the Progenitor family of viruses. Engineered in the 20th century by Nate Grant as the ultimate eugenics tool. There is currently no known vaccine for Omega. The virus' name is derived from Omega, the twenty-fourth and final letter in Greek alphabet.

History[]

Omega Project[]

Dr. Nate Grant worked on the Omega Project sometime in 1986 for its potential eugenics purposes, and authorized development as an R&D project unrelated to the t-Virus Project and G-Virus Project. The Omega was able to genetically alter a living being's blood into black goo and grant psychic abilities as well as be able to repair damaged cells and revive the dead.

The Omega Project reached its final stages in 1998. Nate had injected the virus on July 24, 1998, during the Mansion Incident. The virus was hidden in a vent inside Spencer Mansion. This allowed him to survive been killed by the T-002 and to escape the mansion. The power gained from the virus made Nate a potential global threat.

Effects of Infection[]

This virus increases the host's abilities to superhuman levels, giving them incredible enhanced strength, endurance, regeneration and immunity to all viruses. In addition to the abilities of camouflage, shapeshifting, telekinesis, technopathy, telepathy and mind control. The only known host of the virus is Nate Grant, so most knowledge of its effects comes from observations of him. The only visible effect of the virus is the way in which it can change the color of the subject's eyes to pure black at will or whenever he feels an intense emotion, such as anger. The virus also turn the subject's blood into black goo, which is shown every time he bleeds.
